The WHLA will be holding its player trial for September 2011 entry on the 11th and 12th of April 2011. Then trial will take place at Emerson Park School between 11am-1pm on both days. We will be meeting at Havering Sixth Form College at 10.30am and all applicants to the WHLA will receive a letter containing further details. Football:Havering boost title bid with convincing win
Havering SFC 1st XI 5 - 0 Rushcroft
Havering pushed forward in their bid to win the title with an impressive win over an improving Rushcroft team.
Although Havering were against the slope and the wind in the first half, the team continued to play patient football. There were limited opposition chances and Havering looked dangerous on the break. The only goal of the first half came after Tom Potter broke from midfield to tuck away a tidy 15-yard finish round the ‘keeper.
Havering Sixth Form College’s five-a-side football squad took a long trip to Norwich on Wednesday December 15th for the British Colleges Five-a-Side tournament.
Havering started well with a 1-1 draw with Palmers and then beat fancied side Southend 2-1 in the second game.

Despite playing on a bitterly cold day, both teams produced a close competitive match. The first half saw Havering very much in control of the game, dictating the play and constantly probing and harassing the Palmers defence, creating several chances to put the game beyond their opponents.

The game started fairly evenly and both sides were showing an attacking force but they failed to make either goalkeeper work with Havering having the better chances with a couple of easily missed opportunities towards the end of the half
This purely social Basket ball game played by students presently studying A level and BTEC at the College, who will either be continuing with studies on either vocational courses or going on to University.
This particular basket ball game was played by students who are studying a variety of subjects through the College.
Kyrus is College’s top scorer
Kyrus McClements (pictured) certainly had his shooting boots on when representing the College 1st XI football team.
Kyrus, a Sports Development & Fitness BTEC National Diploma student, has scored a total of 10 goals in the first three college matches of the season.
This included the outstanding feat of scoring all six goals in the National 1st round match against West Herts College in a 6-1 win.

College’s WHU Ladies Football Academy is a hit with Havering Council Leader
Havering Sixth Form College’s newly launched WHU Ladies Academy for talented young female footballers has received praise from the borough’s top politician.
From September 2010, WHU Ladies FC will operate an academy for 16-19 year old females in partnership with Havering Sixth Form College, using training facilities at Hornchurch Sports Centre - an Everyone Active leisure facility - for two hours a week.
