Dorothy Abiola
I attended Havering Sixth form College for two years, after embarking on my secondary education at Albany School in Hornchurch.
When applying for the College I was at a point where I was ready to make specific decisions about pursuing my dream career in medicine. I knew that the college offered a huge number of A Levels and held a reputable academic record. On applying to the college I decide to embark on 5 A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Psychology and Sociology. My decision to take these subjects was supported and monitored by my enrolment tutor who was very much aware of my interest in medicine. He offered me sound guidance and advice about my subject choices.

Focus On.... Former Student – Robert Williams
My name is Robert Williams, I live in Hornchurch and I attended the Havering Tuition Centre where I completed my final 2 years of school. It was at the Tuition Centre I successfully gained enough GCSEs to attend Havering Sixth Form College and study my chosen course and begin the long road that is my future!
At Havering Sixth Form College I studied the BTEC National Diploma in Sport Development & Fitness: the course was equivalent to 3 A levels. It was a daunting task attending College, leaving the small walls of the Tuition Centre behind for the vast open life that is College. But two years on I have finished the course which changed my life. I made many friends and had many experiences and improved my self confidence to such a level, it’s vastly different to what it once was.
