Business students are the future Richard Bransons !
Three Business students were put under the spotlight during a visit to the Entrepreneur Live 2015 show in London. Madison Plato, Kane Whitcomb and Alessandro Carlucci-Judd were called upon to interview one of the entrepreneurs, Lily Rice, founder of up-and-coming sportswear brand Lexiesport, in front of an audience of 300 visitors.
The students, who are on the one-year Level 2 Peter Jones Enterprise Business course, won cinema vouchers and a goody bag from NatWest bank for the interview, along with the respect of Lily Rice, who commented that they were “immaculately dressed and behaved in a totally professional manner”.
Tutor Sharon Davies said: “Our students did an outstanding job and stepped up to the challenge like true professionals. Well done to all the students who attended the event – they were a credit to Havering Sixth Form College.”
The Business students have also benefitted from a visit and talk by the incredible young entrepreneur Rhys McArdle. Rhys, from Grays, is just 16 years old but has already set up three profitable businesses, is a freelance consultant to corporate companies and has created a charitable foundation assisting charities and organisations in funding and promotion.
He gave an inspirational and motivational presentation to students encouraging them to start their own businesses and begin making money for themselves. He told them: “If I can do it, anyone can do it.”
