CUBE staff worked tirelessly to support students with UCAS applications
A huge number of applications to university have been made by students who will be leaving the Sixth Form in the summer.
Many made full use of our award-winning CUBE (Careers, University, Business and Employment) facilities and sought advice from our dedicated careers staff in order to meet the UCAS deadline of January 15th.
A total of 668 UCAS applications were submitted by the deadline with another 100 expected to be sent off in the coming months, which is considerably more than last year.
Included in the applications are nine for Medicine and 14 for Oxbridge. Six students have already had their interview at either Oxford or Cambridge universities.
CUBE Manager Kirsten Witchalls said: “All the team in the CUBE have worked extremely hard in supporting students with advice on personal statements, course choice and financial information. Particular thanks to Nikki Phelps and Lindsey Dacosta who in the two weeks before the deadline, processed 270 applications between them!”
