Alien Uncovered bring bags of attitude during College performance
Former Dance student Shae Barry came back to College to give a colourful performance with her band - X Factor stars Alien Uncovered.
The girls, who got to the live shows of The X Factor last year, brought their unique brand to the College, singing a few tracks - including their new single Handle It - and then spent time talking to students afterwards about their journey from hopefuls to recording artists.
Shae, from Hornchurch, (with the blue and black hair) studied Dance, Law, Spanish and English Language while at Havering Sixth Form and told students she was pleased to be back at the place where it all started for her!
She said: “I enjoyed my time here and we thought it would be cool to come back and visit. Since we left the X Factor we haven’t stopped. We’ve been gigging up and down the country and we’ve been in the studio recording and working on our EP.
“The X Factor was an amazing experience even though we lost out in the sing off early on. We learnt such a lot. We’re quite different, we’ve got attitude and our own style and maybe the British public weren’t ready for us.”
Alien Uncovered now hope to build on their early success and want to live up to Simon Cowell’s prediction that they could be one of the most successful girl bands around.
Shae said: “It was great to perform in the college theatre today and see my dance teacher Lisa Rogers. Really this is where it all started for me, so it was nice to come back.”
