Arts and Media Showcase gives visitors a visual feast
A colourful and thought-provoking display of student work was on display for visitors to view at the Arts and Media end of year Showcase.
Invited school pupils, parents and staff were able to admire creations from talented students at the annual event which brings together all the courses in the Arts, Media & Communications Faculty.
The Showcase gives students the chance to exhibit the work they have been developing throughout the year and is a fitting finale to show off pieces that have been assessed for exam qualifications.
Visitors were amazed at the fantastic exhibition of artwork in the studios as well as being able to play video games that had been designed and created by students on the Gaming BTEC course.
There were displays and interactive exhibits from students studying Fine Art, Textiles, Photography, Graphics, Interior & Architectural Design, BTEC Digital Publishing, Gaming and TV & Film.
A band and singers on the BTEC Music Performance course provided music outside the Faculty building which added to the enjoyable atmosphere.
Faculty Leader Stuart Phillips said: “We had an amazing turnout of visitors and some fantastic comments about the students’ work from friends, family, staff and prospective students.”
