Seville trip boosts Spanish students’ language skills
A trip to Seville has helped boost the confidence of students studying the language and helped them to develop their understanding of the Spanish culture.
Students studying AS and A Level Spanish had the opportunity to spend a week in the pretty town in February.
All students stayed with host families who, as usual, treated them exceptionally well and really made them feel at home.
In the mornings students had lessons at the Giralda Centre to recap on key topics for their exams and in the afternoons the group visited the key monuments in Seville and got to know the town.
One student said on returning from the trip: “I absolutely loved staying with the family. The thought of it was a bit scary but they were so nice and it really helped my language skills because you have to talk in Spanish from the moment you wake up until you go to bed.”
Another student said: “The trip was definitely worthwhile – it was educational but also really good fun. The families treated us really well and were very supportive with our Spanish. I would recommend other students going on the trip to improve their language skills.”
